The year 2024 has been truly transformative for our family, as our three children experienced their first year at Prince of Peace Catholic School. I can’t even begin to explain how much of a difference it has made in their lives—and ours!
Academically, we’ve seen such amazing progress in just one year. Our kids have become so much more responsible. Every day after school, they sit down to do their homework, which honestly wasn’t something we saw much of in public school. A standout moment was when my oldest child received personalized support from his teacher to relearn how to write cursive—a practice often neglected in public schools beyond second grade. In addition, his enthusiasm for learning Latin has inspired me to enjoy learning it as well.
On the spiritual side, this school has been such a blessing. Prince of Peace puts so much emphasis on faith, prayer, and reflection, and it’s inspiring to see how it’s impacted our children. A memory that will stick with me forever is from last November when my kindergartner got to dress up as Saint Mother Teresa for the Saint Parade. Ever since then, she’s been so curious about how she can become a saint someday. It’s such a joy to see how these little moments spark such deep questions and connections in their hearts.
The sense of community at the school is another thing we absolutely love. One highlight for our kids has been the Friday Running Club. It’s such a fun way for them to stay active, make new friends, and learn about teamwork. The friendships they’ve made here are so meaningful, and as parents, we’ve also felt so welcomed by the staff and other families. It’s like being part of one big family.
One thing I really appreciate is how much the school keeps us in the loop. They’re always communicating with us, and it makes me feel like we’re truly part of our children’s education. It’s comforting to know we’re all on the same page.
Looking back on this year, I’m so grateful we made the decision to join Prince of Peace Catholic School. It’s more than just a school— it’s a place where our kids are growing academically, spiritually, and personally, and we couldn’t be happier.
